Binding Types Explained
The majority of books for businesses are either saddle stitch bound or perfect bound, depending on budget.
Perfect Binding. Is great for higher value books where presentation is important, longer documents (up to approximately 800 pages) and text books. It is durable and a very easy document to read from. For example:

- Large Training Books
Saddle Stitch Binding. A very practical booklet, where low costs or usability is important. Great for writing in or to be left open (laid flat) in order to follow instructions whilst working on something else. For example:
- Manuals
- Training Booklets
- Catalogues
- Marketing Brochures
Spiral Binding. Another lay flat option, It is usually a similar price to perfect binding and more expensive than saddle stitch due to the high labour component. But a great option for traditional books such as:
- Diaries
- Notebooks
Hard Cover. Also known as case bound. These are your premium books built to last and with a lot of ‘presence’, always guaranteed to make an impact:
